Abstract. Modern labor market transformations, the growing role of knowledge and intellectual capital, as well as increasing requirements for professional competence of employees, actualize the need to form effective human resources management systems. Under such conditions, systemic personnel development becomes of particular importance, which is considered an important tool for forming the professional trajectory of employees and ensuring their long-term competitiveness. Traditional approaches to personnel policy, focused mainly on the implementation of current functional tasks, increasingly meet the needs of organizations in training specialists capable of professional growth, adaptation to technological changes and the implementation of more complex management functions. In this regard, the study of personnel development mechanisms as a means of shaping the future career of employees becomes relevant. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of systemic personnel development in the formation of employees' professional careers and to substantiate approaches to improving professional growth management in modern organizations. The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach, methods of analysis and generalization of scientific sources, structural and functional analysis, as well as the method of logical generalization for the formation of theoretical conclusions and practical recommendations. The results of the study allowed us to determine the main components of the personnel development process, in particular, professional training, advanced training, mentoring, coaching, personnel rotation and the formation of individual trajectories of professional growth. It is substantiated that the systematic integration of competency development programs into the human resources management process contributes to increasing labor productivity, the formation of a personnel reserve and the growth of employee motivation for professional self-realization. It is established that an effective personnel development policy ensures the coordination of individual career expectations of employees with the strategic goals of the organization, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness of the enterprise and its adaptability to changes in the external environment. Conclusions. Personnel development is a key element of the modern human resources management system and an important factor in the formation of employees' professional careers. Implementation of comprehensive training programs, professional development and career planning creates the prerequisites for the formation of highly qualified personnel potential, increasing the efficiency of organizational activities and strengthening the competitive positions of enterprises in the long term.
