Abstract: Effective financial risk management is crucial for the long-term success of any enterprise, as financial risks directly affect the stability of cash flows, the level of solvency, investment attractiveness, and the competitiveness of a business entity. Under conditions of economic globalization, intensified competition, instability of financial markets, and growing regulatory requirements, the importance of a systematic approach to risk management increases significantly. In this context, accounting plays a key role in forming the information base for managerial decision-making, as it ensures timely recording of business transactions, financial results, and changes in the structure of assets and liabilities of the enterprise. Accounting is not only a tool for recording business activities but also an important element of the management system that makes it possible to identify potential sources of financial risks, assess their impact, and monitor risky operations. This study reveals the problem of accounting in enterprise risk management, which consists in the insufficient integration of accounting procedures into the risk management process and the limited use of analytical capabilities of accounting information. The study highlights the importance of accounting in identifying and assessing financial risks related to liquidity, solvency, creditworthiness, investment activity, and financial performance of enterprises. This research discusses various types of risks faced by enterprises, including risks associated with exchange rate fluctuations, changes in interest rates, inflationary processes, counterparty insolvency, as well as internal risks arising from accounting errors, deficiencies in the internal control system, and imperfections in accounting policies. The problem of accounting in enterprise risk management is examined from the standpoint of the need to increase the transparency of financial reporting and to adapt accounting methods to conditions of uncertainty. The purpose of the study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the role of accounting in enterprise risk management and to substantiate its importance as an instrument of information support for risk management. The objectives of the study are to help enterprises better understand the functions of accounting in the risk management process and to develop recommendations on best practices in financial risk accounting, in particular with regard to the formation of reserves, disclosure of risky operations in reporting, and the use of analytical indicators to assess financial stability. The methods used in the article include a review of scientific literature and an analysis of current accounting practices, which makes it possible to generalize theoretical approaches to financial risk management and to identify problematic aspects of their accounting support. The results of the analysis emphasize the importance of risk reporting and the need to unify accounting practices at enterprises in order to ensure the comparability and reliability of financial information. The expediency of improving enterprise accounting policies based on the principles of a risk-oriented approach to financial management is substantiated. The practical significance of the article lies in its contribution to the development of financial risk accounting practices and in enhancing the quality of managerial decision-making. By providing a comprehensive overview of accounting in enterprise risk management, the study offers practical recommendations for enterprises seeking to improve their risk management practices, strengthen financial stability, and ensure transparency of financial reporting under conditions of uncertainty and dynamic changes in the external environment.Downloads
