Abstract

For small and medium-sized enterprises functioning in circumstances of restricted resources and considerable unpredictability, adopting data-led methods reveals prospects for enhancing the effectiveness of enterprise operations and the standard of leadership choices. In this setting, examining pathways for embedding data analysis into SME governance gains specific scientific and practical importance. Purpose. The aim of this research is to offer theoretical grounding and formulate practical suggestions for handling business operations of small and medium-sized firms employing data-informed methods, thereby enhancing their operational effectiveness and the caliber of governance choices. Methods. The study employs a blend of general scientific and specific research techniques that afford a thorough examination of the concerns. Specifically, theoretical generalization and structuring approaches are utilized to uncover the core of business process administration and data-informed strategies. Methods of dissection and combination, along with contrastive review, are applied to benchmark conventional and data-driven leadership paradigms, and the charting technique is employed to visually present the outcomes achieved and construct a notional framework. Results. Analyses are performed on theoretical methods for business process management in small and medium-sized enterprises. The core concepts and main tenets of the data-driven management approach for businesses are outlined. Principal data origins and processing instruments employed in SME operations are specified. The characteristics of incorporating data analysis into enterprise business workflows are explored. A comparative review of established and data-driven techniques for business process oversight is carried out.
