Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the theoretical and applied foundations and to develop a mechanism for managing projects aimed at the development of export activities of an enterprise under conditions of an unstable external environment. Special attention is paid to improving the efficiency of export operations based on systemic and project-based approaches. The research employs general scientific and specialized methods, including analysis and synthesis to generalize theoretical approaches to export activity management; system analysis to justify the structure of the management mechanism; comparative analysis to evaluate modern approaches to project management; and graphical methods to visualize the proposed solutions. Results. The study defines the economic essence of managing projects for the development of export activities as an integrated process combining strategic planning, resource allocation, and control over the implementation of export initiatives. The feasibility of applying a project-based approach to structuring the process of entering foreign markets is substantiated. A mechanism for implementing projects aimed at improving export efficiency is developed, which includes organizational, economic, informational, and instrumental components. A phased model for project implementation is proposed, covering the stages of analysis and planning, implementation, control, and adjustment. A system of management actors is identified, ensuring coordination at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. Additionally, the role of digital management tools in increasing process transparency and improving decision-making speed is substantiated. Conclusions. It is proved that the application of a project-based approach to export activity management contributes to more efficient use of resources, reduction of risks, and improvement in the quality of managerial decisions. The proposed mechanism has practical value and can be used by enterprises to enhance the effectiveness of export activities and strengthen their positions in international markets. Its implementation creates conditions for better adaptation to changes in the external environment and ensures more sustainable long-term development.
