The paper focuses on the key reserves that can enhance enterprise performance under conditions of a highly competitive market environment. Today, business entities operate in circumstances shaped by market instability, intensified competition, continuous technological renewal, widespread digitalization, and rising customer expectations. In such a setting, the ability to discover and apply both internal and external opportunities for improvement becomes a decisive factor for maintaining business stability, strengthening market positions, and achieving sustainable growth. The essence of performance improvement reserves is clarified through their connection with enterprise management and resource utilization. Considerable attention is given to the classification of these reserves according to their origin, functional role, way of application, and impact on business results. The major areas of their realization are associated with cost reduction, more efficient allocation of material, financial, and human resources, growth in labor productivity, managerial improvement, and the adoption of innovative solutions. A separate emphasis is placed on digital transformation as one of the most significant drivers of enterprise development. The integration of advanced information systems, analytical tools, and automated production and administrative processes creates new opportunities for improving operational coordination and managerial effectiveness. At the same time, marketing instruments, innovation-oriented activity, and partnership development are considered important components of overall business advancement. It is substantiated that higher enterprise performance can be achieved only through an integrated management model that combines economic, organizational, technological, and marketing measures. Consistent identification and activation of such reserves enable firms to respond more effectively to external changes, reinforce their competitive advantages, and secure stable long-term development. Particular importance is also attached to the role of strategic flexibility, which allows enterprises to adapt their management decisions and resource allocation to changing market conditions. In addition, the effective use of these reserves contributes not only to improved current performance indicators, but also to the formation of long-term resilience and sustainable competitive advantages.Downloads
