Abstract

In today’s conditions of digital transformation of the global economy, blockchain technologies are increasingly being integrated into the financial sector, particularly in the field of accounting and tax audit. With decentralized systems that ensure transparency, data immutability and high security, blockchain has significant potential to improve the efficiency and reliability of financial processes. At the same time, in Ukraine, the issue of blockchain integration into the financial system is new and insufficiently researched, which makes the topic of the article particularly relevant.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the principles of blockchain technologies and their impact on the automation of accounting processes, increasing the transparency and effectiveness of tax audits. The article also considers the international experience of implementing blockchain solutions in financial systems, in particular the USA, the European Union and China, with the aim of developing recommendations for the integration of this technology into the tax control system in Ukraine.

To achieve the goal, the methods of comparative analysis, systematization of scientific literature, analysis of legislative initiatives and practical experience of using blockchain in financial systems of different countries were used. In addition, forecasting methods were used regarding the possibilities of adapting blockchain technologies to Ukrainian realities.

The results of the article highlights the main principles of blockchain operation, its impact on the automation of accounting processes, as well as the advantages of using this technology for tax control, such as transparency, security, cost reduction and improved data accuracy. The experience of blockchain implementation in the USA, EU and China was analyzed, where this technology is already actively used for tracking transactions, automating reporting and auditing in real time. Based on this experience, recommendations have been developed for Ukraine regarding the introduction of blockchain into the financial system.

The conclusions state that blockchain has significant potential to improve financial accounting and tax auditing through data transparency and security. However, for the successful integration of blockchain solutions in Ukraine, it is necessary to solve a number of problems, in particular, regulatory challenges, technological readiness and adaptation to the national peculiarities of the financial system.
