The article's purpose is a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the Ukrainian wine industry, considering its regional characteristics, export-import dynamics, factors affecting the quality of wine, state control and regulation of Ukrainian winemaking, and implementation of European standards.
The study used the methods of system analysis, statistical generalization, comparative analysis, and graphical presentation of data, which allowed to assess the state of the Ukrainian wine industry, its dynamic changes in export and import processes, and the impact of legislative regulation on production and quality of products under martial law.
The study analyzed the wine-growing regions of Ukraine, their contribution to the production of competitive products, as well as the dynamics of exports and imports of grape wines for the period 2014-2023. The peculiarities of state control over the production and circulation of alcohol and alcoholic beverages and the regulatory framework that facilitates the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU norms are studied. Particular attention is paid to the impact of martial law on the industry, particularly challenges in logistics, production and prospects for developing craft wineries as a driver of the industry.
The article concludes that the Ukrainian wine industry has a significant potential for interpretation into the European market if legislative norms are adopted, product quality standards are improved, and local producers are supported.
