It is substantiated that management accounting plays an important role by providing tools for analyzing current activities and modeling future results, while its integration into the strategic planning process allows minimizing risks, adapting to changes in the external environment and optimizing resources. The purpose of the study is to consider the methodological foundations of management accounting, determine its functional significance, identify and describe the principles and disclose the strategic context for effective enterprise management.
The research methodology covers the tools and principles used to perform the functions of management accounting, so the tools used to ensure effective enterprise management are characterized. It is substantiated that the basis for organizing management accounting processes is its principles, which will ensure the quality, reliability and relevance of information necessary for making management decisions. Compliance with these principles will ensure the effectiveness of the management accounting system, contributing to the achievement of enterprise goals, optimization of resources and increased competitiveness.
The results of the study show that the effectiveness of strategic management directly depends on the quality of information generated in the management accounting system and used for decision-making. Various criteria for classification of management accounting are defined, which will allow adapting the management accounting system to the specifics of the industry, scale and structure of the enterprise, which contributes to improving management efficiency.
The conclusions indicate that the management accounting methodology is an important tool for ensuring effective management of an enterprise, and its main elements interact to achieve strategic goals, and the strategic context of management accounting expands its functionality, allowing enterprises to adapt to the challenges of the modern business environment. Further research in this area should be aimed at developing innovative tools and approaches that take into account the peculiarities of the modern business environment.
