Competitiveness management in conditions of uncertainty and risk as an element of the economic security management mechanism of the enterprise

The purpose of the study was to identify the possibilities and features of managing the competitiveness of enterprises in conditions of uncertainty and risk through the prism of the functioning of the mechanism for managing its economic security. The methods of scientific search were: content analysis of scientific literature, monographic method, methods of synthesis, generalization and graphic method. As a result of the research, the author's definitions of the concepts of competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness management were proposed, a list of the main factors influencing enterprise competitiveness management was created, and the stages of enterprise competitiveness management in the functioning of the mechanism for managing its economic security were specified. In the conclusions it is emphasized that the management of the competitiveness of the enterprise under the influence of uncertainty and risks is a set of management decisions regarding the planning, organization, implementation and control of business processes related to the study of consumers behaviour, their desires and intentions to purchase goods and services enterprises, manufacturing and transporting goods and services of appropriate quality at a price acceptable to consumers, as well as a set of measures to identify risks capable of changing the vectors of consumer behaviour and the conditions of production of products and services, and a set of management tools used to counter their negative impact of risks and uncertainties on the financial results of the enterprise and the state of its economic security. The following stages of managing the competitiveness of the enterprise in the functioning of the mechanism for managing its economic security are defined: study of demand and supply on the market, establishment of the presence of competitors, analysis of economic behaviour of consumers, analysis of interests, needs and expectations of consumers, identification of risks affecting consumer behaviour, planning of competitiveness indicators enterprise, assessment of strengths and weaknesses, threats and opportunities of both the enterprise and its competitors, identification of risks affecting the enterprise's ability to produce products and services of appropriate quality, organization of safety-oriented business processes, implementation of processes related to production and sale of products (taking into account risks), increasing the level of economic security of the enterprise due to the achievement of high economic indicators by the enterprise.
