Abstract

The work highlights the provisions regarding the classification of non-current assets with the aim of researching their essence and the possibility of conducting thorough scientific considerations in the future on the issues of improving the organization of their accounting in order to increase the efficiency of the results of the economic activity of business entities. Improved elements of the variability of the composition and structure of non-current assets at domestic enterprises are proposed for practical implementation, using the results of a comparison of the leading experience of a number of developed countries of the European Union, which will ensure activation and acceleration of the process of integration of domestic accounting into international accounting. In the context of the reliability of the assessment and generalization of accounting information regarding the presence of non-current assets in enterprises whose fixed assets are located in temporarily occupied territories or are damaged as a result of military attacks of the aggressor, considerable attention is focused on the need to develop detailed methods and tools, application of primary documentation forms for recording factual information during their temporary accounting with the aim of determining the residual value and reducing tax risks according to VAT calculations when writing off non-current assets. 

The purpose of conducting scientific research is the need to improve the essence, classification and organization of accounting of non-current assets with the aim of their effective use at industrial enterprises in today's conditions.

When writing the article, methods of scientific grouping, analysis, synthesis, as well as a graphic method were used to reveal the essence of non-current assets, their classification with the aim of improving the organization of accounting during the accounting processing of information with the aim of ensuring the reliability of data coverage and establishing the level of efficiency of the use of non-current assets at enterprises in real business conditions.

The results. The article provides a critical analysis of the normative provisions and the results of scientific research by economists on the issues of improving the accounting provision of non-current assets in the context of the implementation of the euro integration processes. The need to develop specifics of non-current assets accounting at enterprises that had partial damage or complete destruction of non-current assets as a result of military operations on the territory of Ukraine is substantiated. The potential implementation of component accounting of non-current assets, in particular, fixed assets, as their largest significant share, is proposed, taking into account the aspects of recognizing costs for amortization and choosing a taxation system.

Conclusions. The obtained results of the conducted research justify the need to introduce new approaches to the organization of accounting for non-current assets in the conditions of modern realities.
