Abstract

The article examines innovative solutions for automating accounting in small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to analyze and evaluate innovative solutions for automating accounting processes in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine. The article identifies the main problems in traditional accounting practices and examines modern digital tools that increase efficiency, accuracy and compliance with national and international financial regulations.

The study used a range of scientific methods. In particular, a critical analysis of the scientific literature allowed us to evaluate the existing approaches and theoretical foundations of the problem under study. The tabular method was used to organize and visualize the data, which ensured its structuring. The method of scientific abstraction contributed to the generalization of the results and the formulation of conclusions that became the basis for the development of theoretical approaches to the study of the problem.

The results indicate that automation significantly reduces the time and costs associated with accounting tasks, minimizes human errors, and increases the transparency of financial reporting. The study focuses on the increasing integration of artificial intelligence-based accounting systems, the use of blockchain technologies to ensure the security of financial transactions, and cloud platforms that facilitate remote financial management. In addition, the main obstacles to the implementation of these technologies are identified, including the resistance of organizations to technological change, insufficient digital literacy, and cybersecurity threats.

The conclusions summarize that the introduction of innovative accounting solutions is important for the sustainable development of SMEs in Ukraine. In order to accelerate digital transformation, companies should invest in staff development, implement scalable automation tools, and ensure compliance with constantly changing financial regulations. Policymakers and financial institutions play an important role in creating an enabling ecosystem through incentives, regulations, and access to digital infrastructure. Prospects for further research should focus on long-term analysis of the performance of automated accounting systems and their impact on business development.
