Accounting automation software selection in the private and public sectors

Abstract

Choosing the right accounting program in Ukraine is key to effective financial management, compliance with the law, and minimizing errors. As tax regulations change, it is important that the program is regularly updated. Accounting automation simplifies the work with documentation, calculation of taxes, payroll, and reporting. Modern programs include analytics and data verification functions and can integrate with government agencies, which facilitates reporting. It is important to consider technical support, training materials, and adaptation to Ukrainian standards. A comprehensive approach to choosing a program helps improve accounting, management, and financial transparency.

Purpose of the research. To review software solutions for accounting, to investigate the scope and possibilities of their application, prices of software solutions to choose the most optimal one. Research methods. In the course of the research, the methods of comparative analysis, data systematization, expert evaluation, and economic substantiation of accounting software implementation efficiency were applied. The evaluation was carried out according to the following criteria: functionality, integration, cost, advantages and disadvantages, and compliance with the peculiarities of the enterprise activity.

Results. The possibilities of accounting software products were investigated. The criteria for comparison of accounting software are highlighted. The advantages and disadvantages of software solutions are considered. The cost analysis of popular accounting software was carried out, which allows businesses to estimate the financial costs of automation. Conclusions. Automation of accounting and tax accounting is a key factor in improving the efficiency of the financial management of enterprises. The use of automated systems makes it possible to optimize accounting processes, reduce the risks of financial irregularities, and simplify interaction with state authorities. The analysis of scientific research shows that digital transformation covers not only technical aspects but also strategic changes in the conduct of business, in particular, the adaptation of corporate culture and the development of staff competencies. The review of accounting automation software demonstrates a wide range of options for enterprises of different sizes, which allows for choosing the optimal solution in accordance with the specifics of the activity.
