The influence of external environmental factors on the functioning of enterprise monitoring and controlling systems

Abstract

This article is devoted to studying the impact of external environmental factors on the functioning of an enterprise’s monitoring and controlling systems. The research aims to advance the theoretical and methodological foundations of monitoring and controlling functions within enterprise management and to develop a comprehensive system of external factor influence on monitoring and controlling processes. The article examines the main aspects of monitoring and controlling within the enterprise management system and their role in ensuring stable and efficient operations within today’s dynamic environment. The research presents approaches for systematically applying monitoring and controlling methods, which contribute to achieving the strategic goals of the enterprise and enhancing its adaptability to external challenges. In particular, the study substantiates that monitoring is a process of systematic observation and data collection, enabling rapid response to deviations from planned indicators, considering both internal and external influencing factors. Key controlling functions are identified, emphasizing their role in combining accounting, analysis, planning, and control, which ensure coordination of management decisions at various organizational levels. Controlling enhances enterprise transparency and supports the development of effective strategies aimed at achieving financial stability and optimizing resources. It is shown that the integration of controlling and monitoring creates an effective management mechanism that enables an enterprise not only to track its current state but also to conduct an in-depth analysis of its performance efficiency.

A comprehensive system for analyzing the impact of external environmental factors on monitoring and controlling processes at agricultural enterprises is proposed. The research includes analysis of factors such as economic, environmental, technological, and organizational influences on management processes. It was found that external factors, particularly economic fluctuations, political instability, and technological advances, significantly affect the need for adaptive monitoring and controlling systems. Social and environmental changes necessitate adaptive management approaches focused on sustainable development. Effective monitoring and controlling are shown to be essential tools for supporting sustainable development in the agricultural sector, as they allow for prompt responses to changes in the production environment, management process optimization, and increased enterprise competitiveness.
