The article defines theoretical and practical approaches to the formation of scientific and methodological recommendations for the development of the management potential of an enterprise that functions as an open socio-economic system. It is proven that a systematic analysis of internal and external factors allows us to identify key determinants that affect the level of competitiveness and ensuring the economic security of an enterprise. Based on the generalization of modern research, the need to integrate management strategy and tactics in order to achieve synergy between different levels and divisions, which contributes to increasing security potential, is substantiated. The paper establishes that the effective use of human resources, improvement of the information support system for decision-making, and the formation of a corporate culture with an innovative vector are the determining directions for the development of management potential. Particular attention is paid to the mechanism for the formation of target benchmarks, which involves creating conditions for the implementation of initiatives and adaptation to modern market challenges. The applied aspects of the implementation of flexible planning and forecasting tools that allow an enterprise to promptly respond to changes in the macro- and microenvironment are also characterized. In the context of ensuring economic security, the logic of the monitoring system has been defined, which helps to identify deviations and timely adjust management decisions. The results of the study can be used to develop methodological materials, conduct trainings for managers and specialists, as well as to form a general strategy for the development of the enterprise in the long term. The proposed scientific and methodological recommendations strengthen the role of management potential as the basis of security potential and open up new opportunities for increasing the efficiency of the enterprise. Thus, the conclusions and proposals presented form a holistic vision of the development of management potential, which ensures economic security and competitive advantages in the dynamic conditions of the modern market.
