Grant funding as a tool for entrepreneurship development in Ukraine

Abstract

The relevance of the study is stipulated by the need to support small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, which are a key driver of economic development, especially in the context of martial law and economic recovery. Grant financing is an important tool for stimulating innovation, increasing competitiveness and ensuring financial stability of enterprises.

The purpose of the article is to study the role of grant financing as a tool for entrepreneurship development in Ukraine, in particular, to analyze its impact on innovation, financial stability and competitiveness of enterprises. The article examines the current state and main trends of grant support in Ukraine, and identifies barriers that impede the effective use of grants.

To achieve these objectives, the methods of comparative analysis, generalization and synthesis were used. Based on the analysis of scientific sources and practical cases, the main directions of grant financing in Ukraine are systematized.

The results of the study indicate that grant financing is an important tool for supporting small and medium-sized businesses, especially in conditions of limited financial resources. However, a number of barriers have been identified that impede the effectiveness of grant programs, including legal, organizational, financial, and informational obstacles. Based on the analysis, the author offers recommendations for overcoming these barriers, including improving the legislative framework, optimizing grant procedures, raising awareness of entrepreneurs about available opportunities, and ensuring transparency of the financing process.

The conclusions of the article emphasize the need for a systematic approach to the development of grant financing in Ukraine to ensure sustainable economic growth and support the innovative potential of entrepreneurship. The proposed recommendations may be useful for public authorities, international organizations, and entrepreneurs who seek to effectively use grant resources to develop their projects.
