Global environmental challenges and limited resources are driving the transition from a linear economy model (“production-consumption-waste”) to a circular economy. The circular economy involves a regenerative approach in which resources are kept in the production cycle for as long as possible, waste is minimized, and materials are reused. The article substantiates the role of the internal innovation ecosystem of IT companies using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for the implementation of circular economy principles. The aim of the work is to develop scientific and methodological foundations for the formation of an internal innovation ecosystem of an IT company with a focus on the application of artificial intelligence in a circular economy. In other words, the study aims to determine which elements and organizational approaches should be implemented within an IT enterprise to stimulate innovation aimed at achieving the goals of a circular economy using the capabilities of AI. The relevance of the transition from a linear to a circular economy model has been identified, which involves minimizing waste, extending the life cycle of resources, and reducing the environmental impact. The focus is on the potential of AI as a key tool for digital innovation, capable of optimizing business processes, ensuring effective resource management, and accelerating the transition to sustainable development. It has been established that despite the significant advantages of AI implementation, there are significant barriers related to the insufficient integration of digital technologies into corporate sustainability strategies. A model of an internal innovation ecosystem was proposed, including the technological, organizational, cultural, and managerial components necessary for the effective integration of AI and support for the transition to a closed cycle. Directions for the formation of organizational capabilities of enterprises, such as integrated intellectual capacity, process automation, creation of digital infrastructure, and synchronization of internal and external interactions, are identified. The need for further empirical research to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and determine the impact of its implementation on the competitiveness of IT companies in the context of modern environmental challenges is emphasized.
