Abstract

In the digital age, where social media is becoming the primary communication channel between brands and consumers, the importance of visual content as a trigger for purchasing behavior is growing exponentially. The need for a deeper understanding of the algorithms of visual means of influencing purchasing decisions determines the research's relevance. The research aims to identify key visual elements that form aesthetic appeal, emotional response and trust in the brand in the digital communications environment. Particular attention is paid to the role of cultural code and visual identity in constructing brand communication on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. The methodology is based on content analysis, elements of cognitive semiotics, a comparative approach, and interpretative modeling. The study also employs a visual typology of content and behavioral analysis of users in social media environments. The results demonstrate that visual elements (colors, composition, style, typography) establish emotional connections with the audience and increase content virality. An algorithmic interaction model of interaction between a brand's visual content and the consumer is proposed, consisting of the following sequence: visual trigger, aesthetic engagement, interest in the brand, social proof, and purchase decision. It is proven that using culturally relevant visual codes significantly enhances user identification and loyalty. Conclusions. Visual content functions as a communication tool and a catalyst for behavioral change within digital environments. Integrating cultural codes in content creation increases message relevance and evokes deeper emotional resonance with the audience. It is shown that platforms such as Instagram and TikTok are not only promotional channels but also spaces for constructing brand narratives that convey a brand’s style, values, and aesthetics. The developed algorithmic model of visual influence enables brands to plan content strategies and audience interaction more effectively. The study’s findings can be applied to the development of visual branding and product promotion strategies on social media, considering the target audience's cultural specificity and cognitive reactions.
