The article explores strategic approaches to the development of innovative business models within the digital trade ecosystem, which is shaped by profound transformations of the global market and the dynamic digitalisation of the entrepreneurial environment. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and practically interpret the mechanisms of strategic development of innovative business models in the trade sector, considering the challenges of the digital economy. The relevance of the topic is substantiated by growing market competition, the increasing role of e-commerce, and the need for business adaptation to technological change.
The methodological basis of the study comprises a set of general scientific and specialised methods: analysis and synthesis of economic categories, comparative analysis, structural-functional approach, as well as methods of strategic planning and case analysis. Both theoretical sources and examples of real-world business platform operations in the digital environment are used.
The research findings show that the effectiveness of the strategic development of innovative business models is largely determined by the ability of enterprises to integrate innovations into their commercial activities, to build flexible digital channels of customer interaction, to apply personalised service models, and to implement tools such as artificial intelligence, CRM systems, and big data analytics. The study identifies typical models that are widespread in the digital trade ecosystem: subscription services, platform-based solutions, crowdsourcing models, and freemium strategies.
The conclusions highlight the need to form a holistic innovation strategy for business that takes into account the specifics of the digital environment, consumer expectations, and the demands of competitiveness. It is concluded that sustainable development of entrepreneurship in digital trade depends on the ability of companies to maintain strategic flexibility, invest in technologies, and adapt their business models to a rapidly changing market landscape.
