Abstract

The article examines the features of the formation and implementation of innovation policy of enterprises in the agricultural sector of Ukraine, which operate in conditions of fierce competition, unstable external environment and increased sensitivity to economic, environmental and social risks. The aim is to determine strategic guidelines for innovation development that will contribute to increasing the competitiveness and sustainable development of agricultural enterprises. The work uses a comprehensive approach that includes the analysis of modern scientific research, statistical data, regulatory documents and practical cases of implementing innovations in the agricultural sector. The methods of system analysis, comparative analysis, as well as methods of strategic planning and innovation management are used. The scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive study of strategic guidelines for the innovation policy of agricultural enterprises, taking into account modern technological trends, such as digitalization, automation, the use of artificial intelligence, bio- and nanotechnologies, as well as in identifying key barriers to the implementation of innovative activities. The need to strengthen state support through public-private partnership mechanisms and the development of human capital is substantiated. The study confirms that effective innovation policy should be a holistic system of strategic management, and not a set of individual technical innovations. The introduction of digital technologies, precision agriculture, automation of production processes and the latest technologies contributes to increasing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and sustainable development of rural areas. Measures are proposed to overcome the main barriers, in particular, improving access to financing, increasing the innovation culture and integrating science and business. The introduction of innovations also stimulates the creation of new jobs, improves product quality and increases export potential, which contributes to the socio-economic development of agricultural regions. The results of the study can be used to develop national and regional innovative development programs and will become the basis for management decisions in the agricultural sector.
