Organizational Culture as a Component of Knowledge Management in an Organization

The ability of organizations to ensure sustainability and development largely depends on the effective management of their knowledge resources, utilizing the potential of organizational culture. The aim of the article is to substantiate the importance of strengthening the focus on the development of organizational culture as a component of the institutional framework for knowledge management in organizations, and to identify approaches to harnessing its potential in the processes of creation and utilization of organizational knowledge resources. To achieve the stated aim, the following research methods were employed: systematization and generalization – to reveal the characteristics of knowledge resources and the essential features of organizational culture; logical reasoning – to substantiate the managerial influence on the processes of knowledge creation and application through the development of organizational culture; and morphological analysis – to identify approaches to improving organizational culture as a component of knowledge management. The specific characteristics of knowledge as an organizational resource are revealed, emphasizing the need to develop mechanisms for utilizing organizational culture as a tool for managing this resource. A mutually determined relationship between organizational culture and knowledge has been established. The influence of organizational culture as a component of the management mechanism on the processes of knowledge creation, dissemination, and utilization has been identified. The importance of considering the multifaceted nature of organizational culture in the development of knowledge management mechanisms is emphasized. To ensure effective functioning, organizations should apply a strategic and systematic approach to knowledge management by leveraging the potential of organizational culture. It is important to develop knowledge resource management strategies and implement them through organizational culture development strategies.Downloads
