The Fundamental Principles of Building a Modern Energy Management System for Economic Entities

Abstract

This article examines the fundamental principles of building a modern energy management system for economic entities, aimed at achieving economic efficiency, enhancing competitiveness, and fostering environmental responsibility. The author emphasizes the importance of optimizing energy consumption as a key factor in ensuring financial stability for enterprises and economic resilience. Various aspects of energy management, including energy conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable energy sources, are addressed. A critical element is the development of a strategy that encompasses energy cost control, energy audits, and adaptation of enterprises to energy supply limitations. The purpose of this publication is to define the fundamental principles and conceptual frameworks for forming an energy management system for economic entities, aimed at addressing the challenges of minimizing energy costs and ensuring quality of life. A range of methods were employed in researching the foundational aspects of energy management system development for economic entities, including analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparison, and generalization. As a result of the study, the author explores modern innovative management approaches that enhance the effectiveness of energy consumption management through automated monitoring systems and information platforms. The article highlights the significance of the Total Quality Management (TQM) concept, which promotes responsible resource management by integrating energy management components into the overall strategic approach of the enterprise. Energy management thus becomes a tool for waste reduction and process optimization. The social dimension of energy management—energy inclusion—is also addressed, aimed at ensuring equal access to energy resources and improving quality of life. Through a comprehensive approach based on the rational use of energy resources, enterprises can more effectively respond to energy challenges, reduce costs, and maintain a balance between minimizing consumption and ensuring quality of life.
