Abstract

Effective management of enterprise logistics in modern conditions is impossible without the systematic use of statistical methods, which allow analyzing data and making well-founded managerial decisions. The purpose of the article is to study the possibilities of applying statistical methods in logistics management to improve the efficiency of enterprise logistics and to develop practical recommendations for enhancing their use. The research methodology is based on general scientific and specialized methods, including system, comparative, and correlation-regression analysis, as well as induction, deduction, and synthesis, which allows assessing the effectiveness of statistical methods in logistics management and formulating reasoned conclusions. The article emphasizes the importance of statistics in the logistics management process, highlighting the significance of reliable statistical data for planning, monitoring, and optimizing logistics processes. It characterizes the main statistical indicators used in logistics and describes their features, provides examples of the practical application of statistical data in managing enterprise logistics, and justifies the appropriateness of using statistical methods for data processing, identifying patterns and trends necessary for making effective managerial decisions in logistics. The main statistical methods are analyzed, and their role in demand forecasting, route optimization, inventory management, and cost control is determined. The article also highlights problems in applying statistical methods in logistics and outlines directions for improving statistical support for logistics management. The comprehensive use of statistical methods in logistics management enables effective data processing and obtaining reliable analytical results, forming a solid basis for well-grounded managerial decisions in enterprise logistics.
