This article defines the conceptual principles of applying express analysis as a direction of assessing the economic security of the development of machine-building enterprises. It is proved that modern business conditions require operational risk analysis tools that are able to quickly identify security development factors. Methodological approaches based on a combination of financial, statistical and expert methods are substantiated, taking into account the specifics of the machine-building industry and the need to protect economic interests. It is established that the implementation of the express analysis system contributes to increasing the level of economic security through operational diagnostics of critical threats and the formation of adaptive management decisions. The advantages of this approach are characterized, including the speed of decision-making, high forecasting accuracy, flexibility of analytical methods and increased transparency of internal processes. This creates conditions for the safe development of machine-building enterprises and allows avoiding large-scale financial and production crises, while simultaneously increasing competitive positions in the domestic and foreign markets. Particular attention is paid to technological changes and digital transformation, which significantly affect the effectiveness of express analysis and require additional research efforts to improve the toolkit. Additionally, the need for a systematic nature of express analysis is considered, since regular monitoring allows you to adjust the security strategy in accordance with dynamic changes in the production, financial and market spheres. Thus, the article outlines a wide range of opportunities for further research related to the development of express analysis as a flexible and highly effective tool for increasing the level of economic security of machine-building enterprises. The practical significance of the conclusions and recommendations lies in the possibility of their application in the process of making strategic decisions aimed at security development, which will ensure the stability and economic sustainability of the industry in the face of global challenges and increased competitive pressure.
